LATEST NEWS

  • 15 August, 2017
About 50 club members compete in a ladder type system. This runs over a period of a couple of months and involves up to six singles matches against similarly skilled opponents. The promotions and relegations at the end of each round ensure that players of the same ability are usually in the same box and this has led to an overall league containing players of all ages and abilities. This means that if you want to join there will be an appropriate box that is right for you! If you want to join, or want more details, please contact the organiser, Jon Monkcom Kingsgate.boxes@gmail.com
  • Finals Day will be on Sunday 10 September. There will be tennis for all in the morning, a BBQ for all-comers, the finals to start at 1pm . There will be a free tea available in the afternoon.
  • David, our club coach, organises an early evening party for all the family.  In addition to the pumpkin competition (both the pumpkins grown by club members and pumpkin carving) there will be a wide range of activities for all the family, music and a barbecue for all.  We expect that this event will even be bigger than the 230 who came last year. Country bumpkin dress is encouraged, but not compulsory! For further information contact David Woodford, woodywinch@yahoo.co.uk
